It's a bit a while since we mentioned any news from the Monster Workshop HQ, but as usual there's been loads going on. Their latest creation is a new bespoke handmade monster named Dulo. This is the most sophisticated designer plush from Monster Workshop to date. It has fully posable head and armatured tail/arms, and is limited to three pieces which include a limited print of the initial character sketch. He and many other new works, will be featuring at the fast approaching, Open Studio event, at Cockpit Arts in Holborn 10-12 of June.

'This handsome fellow was found in great distress, strung up in a tree and being tormented. Luckily for Dulo a young girl came to his rescue and scared off his captors. From the outside Dulo may appear to be a brute, but beneath the fur and startling appearance he is a sensitive and loving monster, looking for an equally loving home.'

May's first release from Esc-Toy Ltd will be all new Cupcake Micci Red Velvet by Erick Scarecrow. This is the next figure from the 5 DEADLY MICCIS series that started last year. The 5.75" resin figure has a combination of solid and clear resin. The "Red Velvet" colorway is limited to only 20pcs worldwide and will be available at 11am EST Friday 05/06/11 at the new ESC-TOY online shop. Each hand painted resin figure is signed, numbered and packaged by artist. Collectible is for ages 15 & UP!
Plaseebo is pleased to offer an Ultra Limited "MECHA" NIGHT GAMER edition of just 6 pieces created by Todd Robertson. Each 6 1/2" high vinyl figure is customized by Todd hand sculpting and painting his unique vision of the original Night Gamer based on his addition to the unfolding Night Gamer backstory. Features include, Todds signature "Mecha-nized" hand sculpting of head and body that incorporate found objects, vinyl tubing, wire, multiple glass eyes and hand painted with MONSTER KOLOR. Based on one of his painting (a tribute to his old Citroën BX), the French Lowrider is an amazing piece of vinyl by Alëxone Dizac, with an unusual visual treatment, far away from everything ever released in the Toy's World. Behind the wheel of this surreal car sits a masked penguin, iconic character from Alexone's world. This driver is fully equipped with two bendable arms (plus an extra one on the removable cap) holding spraycans. As he can't really drive with busy hands, he can still count on his 5 smaller co-pilots penguins. Sculpted by Julien Moreau and produced by Artoyz Originals, the French Lowrider is the 1st vinyl toy ever released by Alexone. The figure is 9'' wide and 6'' high. For his new exhibition (from May 5th to June 11th) at Galerie L.J. in Paris "Y a pas photo", this very limited version (150 pieces) will be released and available as pre-order.
