David Choe x Upper Playground present Munko

Upper Playground has teamed up with Japan’s Good Smile Company to become the official distributor for David Choe’s “Munko” Vinyl Figures. The toys were initially seen as simple sketches on David's blog, and now following the premiere of the physical Munko toys at San Diego Comic Con in Giant Robot's booth, Upper Playground is the exclusive wholesaler and distributor for the line of figures.
Upper Playground has continually been impressed not only by Good Smile Company's detail and intricacy in their vinyl figures, but also by the innovativeness of their other ventures, and are very excited to begin this partnership between their companies. Skelanimals Artist Qee Collection

With the Licensing Show taking place this week in Las Vegas, it’s only right that Toy2R drops this advance look at the lineup of designs from the cast of international artists participating in the Skelanimals Qee Project. Each designer was asked to submit designs of their own interpretation of Skelanimals using the Qee platform. To bring both worlds closer together, Toy2R has worked closely with the Skelanimals team to create the core characters in Qee form.

Series 1 will feature the Skelanimals characters Chungkee and Marcy as the platforms for design. Series 2, planned for the winter, will feature Dax, Kit and Jack, all in Qee form. And just like regular Qees, each figure will include a keychain attachment! It will include designs by Jon-Paul Kaiser, Reactor 88, Julie West, Lunabee, Frank Mysterio, Jim Koch, Chauskoski and Voltaire. There will also be variant chase versions inserted randomly int he 25pc counter displays, as well as original classic styles of each Skelanimal character.

Toy2R expects to drop Series 1 of the Skelanimals Artist Qee Collection in late July to early August. Early word has it that there will be some exclusive pre-launch figures available during this year’s SDCC event to wake the dead! Skelanimals x Qee – Eat Your Heart Out!

RAJE Toys presents Project Blueprint

Introducing the Supremebeing Bods: Series One

Two-Feet-Deep now have the Supremebeing Bods Process Set in stock. The four figures are called Cyan, Magneta, Yellow and Black and are based on the principle of process printing. Here's the character profiles:

• Black: Is a Gimp, a Geek and an incurable optimist. He is fiercely proud to be all three.
• Cyan: Spends his time Bmxing in the Arctic Tundra & has a bad attitude.
• Magneta: The youngest of the four, runs a freelance art critic consultancy firm.
• Yellow: Originally a native of Columbia he now lives in Mexico & resents being asked if he is a dog or a kangaroo.

Toy2r 2.5" Qee Designer Collection Series 6

After much ado and hundreds of worldwide submissions, Toy2R is proud to launch the continuation of the 2.5" Qee Designer Collection with Series 6 dropping in late June. This will be the first of numerous collections planned for release through 2010 and beyond. Toy2R is pleased to announce the release of the series in late June and the final lineup of this incredible series based on artwork from top art toy designers and some of the hottest toy customizers in the business.

This assortment will include designs from Frank Kozik, DGPH, Lisa Petrucci, Doink, Jon-Paul Kaiser, Cameron Tiede, Charlie Mewshaw, Peskimo, Daniel Jarrett, DrilOne, and Qee creator - Raymond Choy. Packaged in blind boxes - each 25 piece display will include these and some mystery chase variants and other surprise designs as well as Toy2R's patented Qee keychain attachment.

Toy2R 8" Designer Qee 2010 Collection - Garcia, Kaiser & Niark1‏

Toy2R proudly presents the lineup of 8 inch Qees from the upcoming Designer Collection - inspired by the upcoming Designer Series 6 Collection of 2.5" Qees.

From Jumping Brain creator Emilio Garcia is the Brain Pattern Qee Bear. From the UK comes this first look at the concept 8" Qee Bear from Jon Paul Kaiser. Paris, France has given birth to a lot of great artists and Niark1 is one of those to be recognized as original and awe inspiring.

All three pieces are currently being offered by Apex and quantities will be limited. Expect to see the launch of the first Designer Qee Collection piece available in late summer of 2010.

New Ice Cream Micci French Vanilla by Erick Scarecrow

The next flavor for Erick Scarecrow's Mousey Micci series is the Ice Cream French Vanilla colorway. The 6" handpainted resin figure is signed/numbered by the artist and comes sealed in Scarecrow's box. The edition size is limited to 30pcs. worldwide. This figure will come with a 5 x 7 giclee print by Erick Scarecrow. Less than 30pcs will be available.

Jouwe Red Edition Debut at WonderCon‏

KusoVinyl will be releasing the red edition of Jouwe at WonderCon next week. This is the official release of their Jouwe figure in the US. Each figure is priced at $55 and comes with a gift box. There's only 20 pcs available during the show. Visit them at booth #1343.

Mezco Kick-Ass Figures

“Kick-Ass”, the action-adventure movie from Lionsgate and Matthew Vaughn, is a twisted high-octane adventure that redefines the “super hero” genre, based on the popular comic by Mark Millar and John Romita Jr.

Kick-Ass, a.k.a. Dave Lizewski is an average teenager and avid comic-book fan, who decides to become a real-life superhero, Kick-Ass! With no actual super powers, his life is forever changed as he encounters the violent, real-crime world of common thugs, drug lords and underworld mobsters. Kick-Ass 1/12 scale 6” action figure that captures the essence of “Kick-Ass” armed with two billy-clubs, and wearing signature suit and mask.

Hit-Girl, a.k.a. Mindy Mc Cready is an 11 year-old pig-tailing wearing waif with the fighting skills of a ninja. This little super hero proves she has some real kick- ass skills. The 1/12 Scale action figure features Hit-Girl in her signature plaid skirt, purple wig and cape. Armed with a pair of butterfly knives, and her double Gitano bladed mindy stick.

Mezco will also be offering a plethora of related Kick-Ass merchandise, from magnet sets and water bottles to sticker sheets and shot glasses. Look for them in finer retailers when the film hits theaters on April 16th, 2010.

Update to Elemental Badgers Launch and Production

Artist David Foox has released new product revisions as of March 25, 2010 on his much anticipated launch of The ELEMENTAL BADGERS. The ELEMENTAL BADGERS have grown and will now stand 7.75 inches tall (rather than the original 5"). They will be made out of best quality vinyl, and come in a limited number of 100 per colorway. There will be 5 colorways - Earth, Air, Fire, Water, and Spirit.
